Allan D. Grody is President and founder of Financial InterGroup Holdings Ltd. His firm advises firms and develops businesses in the financial industry, primarily through joint ventures. Among the many ventures his firm has initiated are numerous start-ups including: the first Internet financial services website, Investors@dvantage; a pioneering individual financial advisor business, Financial Managers of America™; the Savings for Retirement Account™; and their current  project to provide a Global Identification System for Financial Market Participants, known as the legal entity identifier initiative (LEI) now before the G20’s Financial Stability Board. In partnership with York University (UK) and  in response to the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s  fundamental review of industry wide risk management techniques his company is promoting a new standard for risk management known as Risk Accounting prototyped in its Risk Exposure and Attribution Management System (REAMS™)

He has been an expert witness for investment companies on shareholder issues and in trading system patent infringement cases; was a Member of the Board of Directors of the Technology Committee of the Futures Industry Association; an Executive Committee Member of the Emerging Business Council of the Information Industry Association; an Executive Board Member of the Vietnamese Capital Markets Committee; a decades long Advisory Board Member to the London Stock Exchange; and a member of the Data Management Council of the National Institute of Finance, the forerunner to the US Treasury’s Office of Financial Research.

He is an editorial board member of the Journal of Risk Management in Financial Institutions; a former partner of the predecessor firm to PricewaterhouseCoopers, Coopers & Lybrand where he founded their Financial Services Advisory Practice; a former Adjunct Professor at the Stern Graduate School of Business at NYU where founded and taught risk management systems; and a former financial industry practitioner in the commercial finance, investment management, international banking and securities industries.
